This is a genuine Mercedes-Benz Shifter Housing for R129 SL Series vehicles. This part is located underneath the brown shift knob trim. The shift knob is placed inside the shifter housing in order to keep it in the correct orientation. This part fits 1996-1998 SL320, SL500, and SL600.
