This is a genuine Mercedes-Benz Trunk Lock Cover Rivet Pin for R129 SL-Class vehicles. This part is located on the inside of the trunk, near the trunk jamb. This screw pin is what secures the Trunk Lock Cover into the vehicle. The part itself is made up of two parts that work together. The bottom portion looks like a screw, and the top is a pin. Once the trunk lock is secured to the vehicle with the screw, the pin on top is able to be pushed through the center of the screw to secure it. Once pushed in, the pin and screw part sit flush as photographed below.
