This is an OEM Trunk Support Strut for Mercedes-Benz R129 SL-Class vehicles. This part could be seen by opening the trunk lid, and looking at the two holes on the back of the trunk. The strut is the vertical metal part located at the center of those holes. This part is compatible with both the left and right side.
