On the West Coast the claim to modern pop art’s throne always lied with Wayne Theibaud. Theibaud’s style combined elements of daily life and use of heavy pigments to create vivid artwork that touches on people’s memories. We pay homage to the still living (he is 100 years old!) Theibaud by learning about their influences, artistic characteristics, motifs, and style in order to emulate these masterpieces but with a Clay House Art twist.
