About Suzuki Harunobu (1725?-1770) was a Japanese artist and printmaker of the Edo period, known for his innovative and influential woodblock prints. He is considered one of the founders of the ukiyo-e genre, which depicted scenes of everyday life in Edo (modern-day Tokyo).
