$479.00

Absolutely beautiful set of antique hickory wooden skis. This set comes with its original hardware and all the charm and beauty you could want in a pair of historical skis. Distinguished warm wooden colors radiate from this set and would look stunning as a statement piece in any lodge, ski loft or cabin. From a rarer and more esoteric ski brand, the Ski Rider emblem is still visible on one of the skis. With lots of unique characteristics this set is from around the 1940-50's and the scraps and scratches tell of their adventures on the slopes and add to their authenticity. This set comes in at 76 inches long, about 5 inches in depth due to the curve at the point of the skis and approximately 6 inches wide due to the hardware. The hardware is very attractive with a distinguished patina and fascinating binding mechanism. There is one ski that still retains the makers emblem from Montgomery Ward was founded by Aaron Montgomery Ward in the late 19th century. The middle of the ski says " 6-6 ' Hickory 0" with other numbering behind the metal bindings. On the upper middle of the ski it says 'laminated'. A very beautiful set.
