Susan Rothenberg (American, 1945- ) This poster is a reproduction of Vaulting by American contemporary painter Susan Rothenberg. It depicts a figure which seems to be moving and tumbling across the surface. Rothenberg is noted for exploring the boundary between figural representation and abstraction. Rothenberg’s thickly layered and nervous brushwork are a distinctive characteristic of her paintings along with a tilted perspective in which the vantage point is located high above the ground.
