This foam is porous and permeable, ideal for filtration applications where other types of foam cannot be used. Its uniform structure minimizes the possibility of open channels, which could drastically affect filter efficiency. Its other advantages include high tensile strength, tear resistance, and ease of workability to facilitate design of mounting devices. Reticulated black foam can be sewn, taped, glued, or grommeted.
