Decaf Green Jade

Tasting Notes: vegetal, earthy, smooth Description: A decaffeinated green tea that is vegetal, earthy, and smooth. This green tea is crafted in the classic pan-fired Chinese style and then decaffeinated. The taste is earthy with green vegetal notes and subtle hints of roasted nuts. A versatile tea that can be consumed hot or iced. Similar in taste to our Imperial Green. Our decaf teas are created using the CO2 decaffeination process. The advantage of this technique is that no chemical solvents are used to remove the caffeine. In this manner of decaffeination, naturally occurring CO2 is applied to the tea leaf in a circulation process which carefully uses high pressure and temperature to extract the caffeine. A very slight residue of caffeine will remain in the tea leaf, which is why we call them decaf teas rather than no caffeine teas.
