Shiitake Block WR (Lentinula edodes) (Wide temp range) Spore Print
The parent strain these spore prints were taken from is a commercial strain that is fast at colonizing, fruits in a wide range of temperatures, and produces a heavy first flush of beautiful, tasty shiitake mushrooms. This strain averages 1.25 lbs from a 5 lb supplemented sawdust block on the first flush. An additional 3 or more flushes are possible by resting the block, re-hydrating and striking the block in-between flushes. Like clockwork, with high humidity in the fruiting room on day 4 or 5, pins form and a week later you'll have terrific shiitake mushrooms!
