The Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish Melanotaenia praecox is rugged and adaptable once it gets settled in the aquarium. This fish is an intelligent, beautiful and above all, a spirited fish. If kept healthy and happy these fish will always be active and amusing. They are very smart and seem to be especially aware of things going on outside the tank. These are small rainbow fish, reaching only about 2 - 2 1/2 inches and have brilliant blue iridescent scales and red brightly colored fins
