Sumatra Ribang Gayo (Wet-Hulled)

This coffee is available as Espresso profile only. Asman Arianto moved to the Aceh Province in 1998 and began his coffee career collecting and processing wet-hulled, or "giling basah", coffee. He eventually switched to collecting cherry and started experimenting with washed, honey, and natural processing techniques alongside the more traditional wet-hulled. In 2018 he formed the Ribang Gayo Musara Cooperative as a way to unite local coffee farmers by offering more competitive prices, quality premiums, and community resources, and today over 350 contributing members deliver cherry to their processing facility in Pantan Musara. In this wet-hulled offering, look for notes of honey, apricot, and flan.
