Stand

Limited Edition Reproduction, 17.5" x 13" Romans 14:4 I read an old letter from a young man serving in Vietnam to his parents. At one point he says, “Your love for me is the greatest authority in my life.” I really had to pump the brakes when I encountered that line. Those words made me think about the little group of people who have loved me so well over the years, even at my utter worst. I have such a deep respect for who they are and the wisdom and humor they impart. In a myriad of ways they are God’s love incarnate. I weigh their thoughts in the light of this expensive reality and my words seem so inadequate.  This is the foundation on stand on, I serve in response to this great truth.
