A rather lovely example of early nineteenth century French work following the style of Nicolas Remy Maire (1800-1878); featuring a plain ebony frog with an open tench and traditional bone button and corresponding tip facing, without a liner, mounted on an ironwood shaft, and finished with a two-toned silk lapping. Imbued with excellent playing properties, with a balanced weight of 60.8 grams.
