Mintage of 156,000/NGC pop. 17 Philadelphia Mint Contains 89% pure fine silver John Reich designed the capped-head concept of Liberty, and it was modified by Chief Engraver of the Mint, William Kneass. It proved to be a popular design and lasted from 1815 to 1838. Many of these Capped Bust Quarters are very difficult to find that would not grade very poorly.
