Pistachio Rug

Our newest solid rugs explore the convergence of nature and folklore. Color is a Feeling: Return of the Wool, our second hand tufted wool solid rug collection, is comprised of five colors representing not only a varied assortment of botanical influences the mythology which surrounds them.   Supposedly, the Queen of Shiba loved Pistachios so ardently that she forbade anyone outside her family from growing or eating them. Despite or maybe because of this, Pistachios have only spread in popularity since (since the Garden of Eden, actually, if you believe everything you read). Known in China as “the happy nut”, Pistachios are warm and cool, earthy and soignée, fresh and ageless. This rug is from our Color is a Feeling rug collection.
