Burgundy peryleneAlso known as Perylene, Alizarin, Paliogen, or Anthraquinone. One name for synthetic kraplak is red-violet, which has greater light resistance than its natural counterpart, and is also brighter and more saturated. Perylene dyes are a group of red and violet synthetic vat dyes discovered around 1912. Perylene has been used as an art pigment since 1957.
