DIMENSIONSMax height: 89cm Width: 57cm Depth: 60cm Seat: 46cm The “Senate Chair” is yet another variant of Pierre Jeanneret’s PJ-SI-30A design that was seen at the Chandigarh High Court, Panjab University and other administrative buildings around 1953-54. The chair features a solid teakwood frame with a backrest, seat and armrests that are slightly slanted and upholstered. The ‘V’ shaped, tilted and profiled flat legs form the base for armrests that have roll type stuffed covers. However, in this version the armrest cushions extend along the entire length unlike the “Committee Chair” that has partly exposed armrests. Two rails in the front and back support the seat from underneath. This chair is sometimes also upholstered with moleskin.
