Model T - Ford (Partial Gilt)

This sterling silver Model T-Ford weighs about 4.7kg and is made up of 78 separate components and 6,000 parts, and assembled in the same way as the original automobile. The chassis and the following interlocking parts are held together by miniature nuts, screws, washers and bolts, that enables the steering wheel to turn, the bonnet to lift, the doors to open, the windshield to tilt, the handbrake to move and the wheels to spin.The bottom back seat can be lifted to reveal a hidden compartment containing 24K gold gilt tools - a tiny screwdriver, a wrench, an air pump for the tires, a spanner and more. Under the cushion of the front seat is the petrol tank, cosily nestled in the recesses of the seat. The vehicle is mounted on a wooden plinth, complete with a highly reflective surface.
