The Legrand DQFF20UST is a hardwired pop up receptacle countertop rated and UL listed so it can be installed in conference rooms, kitchens, or any wet location that you need power.  The all metal top is a powder coated black color, designed to be very durable and more resistant to scratching. The outlet is concealed in your table or counter when not in use. To use, just press the button and the outlet smoothly and quietly flips up out of your conference table to a 45 degree angle, now you can power your laptops, tablets, or charge your mobile devices. When you are done, simply press the top till it is closed and back to being hidden in your conference table or workstation. 20A Tamper Proof USB Charging Outlet The outlet features 2 tamper resistant plugs that are 20A rated, and 2 USB charging ports that supply 3.1A of shared power. The USB ports are smart charging and will automatically adapt to the device being plugged in, it will sense the device and provide as much charging as it can safely handle. The outlet has been tested to safely protect against 8 ounces of liquid. Quick Hardwired Installation in Conference Tables The box is shallow, and only takes up 3.25" of space under a 3cm counter. To install, start by cutting a 4 1/8” x 5” hole, then place the pop up in the hole.  The outlet is hardwired, so the last step is to connect conduit to the 3/8" opening in the bottom of the box and connect to the wire inside the box. The hot, neutral, and ground wires come with quick connectors for easy installation. The pop up outlet will need to be on a GFCI protected circuit. The last step is to use the included mounting brackets by attaching them to the side of the box, then use the thumb screws to secure to the underside of the counter. The side brackets add 1.25" of width on each side of the box under your table or counter.  8 Ounce Spill Test Rated Outlet The pop up meets 2014 NEC code 406.5e for countertop/conference table installations in many ways. It is UL approved for USA installations, and cUL and CSA approved for Canadian installations. The outlet is spill rated to withstand up to 8 ounces of water being poured directly on the outlet, eliminating the possibility of electrical shock. A gasket under the bezel keeps water from entering from the sides, and getting into your cabinet.  Install in Kitchens or any Worktop Surface Needing Power The pop up is perfect for kitchen installations.
