Breitling Ellesse Design Mens Wind Direction Bezel Watch, 82.270 - 18K Gold Plated & Stainless Steel
In 1985, in collaboration and partnership with the famous Italian sports fashion manufacturer Ellese and design studio Archap, Breitling developed an unusual ref., 82.270. The model was made both in this mens size and a ladies reference. It features a bi-directional rotating bezel that has been said it could be used for navigation or wind direction for yachting. Not a widely bought watch, very few can be found today. In fact, you'll have trouble finding many other examples for sale anywhere, no matter how hard you search the web. For those not familiar Ellesse earned their appeal by combining sportswear functionality with street-level fashion styling. They was one of the first sportswear brands to feature their logo prominently on the outside of their garments and had celebrity endorsements that included Tommy Haas, Chris Evert, Guillermo Vilas, Boris Becker, Mats Wilander, Pat Cash, Arantxa Sánchez and Anna Kournikova, skiers Marc Girardelli and Jean-Luc Crétier, and Formula 1 driver
