Flat Oval Platter- Stoneware

We love this piece for a big charcuterie and cheese plater with some nice toasty bread or crackers, but it works great for a whole roasted fish or even a big old mound of homemade nachos!  Our stoneware clay body has a rustic, earthy feel but with the strength and durability of Porcelain.  *** Please note that our Autumn glaze gets a lot of variation to it, so the piece you get may not look exactly like the one in this photo. It's very difficult to control in the kiln which makes it both one of our most prized and most temperamental glazes. It can vary between a deep almost gunmetal black, to a light toasty orange on the edges. You'll sometimes see a soft pastel purple tint to it or even a pale green depending on how it reacts to the firing. We hope you love it as much as we do!
