The little lockets actually open to store whatever you dream up- a tiny photo, a lock of hair, etc- and then click securely shut. They are made from raw brass with a slightly vintage look to it. The outsides are are shown polished, but will darken to a cool patina over time {that more closely resembles the finish on the chain} as all raw brass does. Feel free to polish them back up with a cloth that's safe for brass jewelry or leave it for a more monochromatic look! The insides of each locket will not come polished and be in their original vintage state. Little sparrow bird has been stamped from raw brass and has a a wonderful verdigris blue-green patina. **Please note: your bird may be on the left OR right side of the chain (as shown, or a mirror image of what is shown).
