Although tropical lilies are annuals (you'll have to throw them out at the end of fall), their variety and frequency of blossoms will have you coming back for more every spring. Standing tall out of the water, the tropical water lily bloom is more vibrant than its cousin the hardy water lily which most ponds have. And some tropical water lilies are fragrant! Optimal planting depth for tropical water lilies is 6" -12". They love heat.Water temperature should be consistently 70 degrees or warmer for tropical water lilies.
