18" David K. Series Tar

Cooperman’s  David K. Series frame drums are designed to compliment David’s playing and teaching style.  These larger diameter, “bass” tar drums, are particularly "fundamental forward" - super resonant, "woody" shell sound, with controlled overtones..  The shell anchors solidly on the knee for the lap style playing position. A thumb hole is provided to give players the option of playing in the upright position; it also serves as handy port for a mounting system.  18" diameter x 4" depth, single-ply steam bent Vermont Ash wood. Thumb hole. Musical instrument grade clear lacquer finish, burnished, on blonde Ash wood. Black cord.
