Lens Burning Fire Starter Kit - Includes Glass Magnifying Lens, Char Cloth & Tin

This burning lens fire-starting kit is a great addition to your Bushcraft kit or survival/emergency preparedness bag. When sunshine is available it makes a great primary or back-up fire starter so you can conserve your other more limited resources like lighters, matches, and ferro rods. Within seconds of concentrating the suns rays through the glass, and ember will ignite on a small section of char cloth (included) that can be used to then light your larger tinder nest. The process takes a little practice at first, but once you understand the concept, it works like a charm. Although intended primarily as a fire-starting tool, it also comes in handy for plant identification or scat inspection when out on the trail.
