Hot Air Balloon Copper and Steel Sculpture  - Hot Air Balloons - Did you know Albuquerque, NM, where our Copper River Studio is located, is considered the Hot Air Balloon Capital of the World? Albuquerque's cool mornings, clear skies, and low humidity make it easier to fly balloons and help them rise faster. The city also has a unique wind pattern called the "Albuquerque Box" where the wind blows north at higher elevations and south at lower elevations.  Make sure to join in on the festivities every first full week in October for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the world's largest hot-air balloon festival. This festival attracts travelers and balloon pilots from all over the world. Our Hot Air Balloons are beautifully made with torch-cut copper on steel.
