Stereographic Card - Watkins Glen #07
Stereoview card (3D) - 7" x 3.5" (Holmes format) It's always a treat when Cavern Cascade gets a touch of light. Visitors zip through in the shadows, trying not to get wet but the splashing is what makes it so great. The Watkins Glen Gorge contains several trails and bridges that wind their way from serene to sublime natural views. Watkins Glen State Park can be found nestled in the Finger Lakes on the southern end of Seneca Lake. It's just over a mile as the crow flies but the zig zagging trail and changes of elevation result in a much longer hike if one wishes to get the complete experience. With such extraordinary splendor, the Gorge was the subject of some of the earliest stereo photographs made in the Americas. I am pleased to carry on that tradition of capturing this American treasure through the 19th century magic of Stereoscopy. Card can be viewed in a traditional stereoscope, as well as with a modern viewer such as the Loreo Lite. Every care and consideration has been given
