Shatabhishak Nakshatra

Shatabisha comes from two words "Shata & Bheesaj". "Shata" means “100” or “a large number” and "Bheesaj" means a “healer” or a “cure.” So it translates as “Hundreds of Healers” or “Hundreds of Cures”. Hence this Rahu ruled nakshatra is strongly associated with mystical and miraculous healers. Varuna the tutelary archetype of this nakshatra also has magical healing abilities and hence Shatabisha natives become determined and dedicated humanitarians, work for a noble causes to "heal the world" without regard for credit, name and fame. All this comes from the shakti of this nakshatra which generates the power of healing (Bheshaja Shakti). Called the "Veiling Star", this nakshatra is about healing the human condition spiritually and physically.  Varuna is the god of the night sky while his inseparable companion (Polar Opposite) Mitra is the god of the daytime sky.
