Strawberry Saguaro

"Strawberry Saguaro" by Andrew McCarthyprinted on C-Type Matt   The rising full "Supermoon" slipping behind a Saguaro cactus, a unique species native to the Sonoran Desert.  The full moon in June is referred to as a "strawberry" moon, dating  back to indigenous groups in the Northeastern US using this moon as an indicator that it was time to gather fruit for the season. This year it was a "Supermoon", meaning the lunar cycle was lined up with the orbit's perigee to make the moon appear largest in the sky when completely illuminated by the sun.  The size indicated is the printed area, the print will also include a 1/2" white border for handling and framing.
