From the fractured volcanic soils of Napa’s Broken Rock Vineyard, we found a Cabernet that felt like it already belonged to us. Dark, sharp-edged, and unapologetically bold — a mirror of obsidian itself. 2021 gave us fruit with power and tension, a vintage built on extremes. What came out of it isn’t polite. It’s layered, volcanic, and alive with intensity — black fruit, graphite, smoke, and a depth that lingers long after the glass is empty. This isn’t a wine for display. It’s a bottle meant to be opened, shared, and remembered — a ritual carved from fire and stone. Technical Notes Vineyard: Broken Rock Vineyard, perched on Napa Valley’s eastern ridge at the base of Atlas Peak. Soils: Shallow, rocky soils of volcanic origin, laced with gravel and basalt, forcing deep root growth and naturally low yields.
