Hunting and bird dogs, certainly, but the larger population of dogs that accessorize our dens, co-pilot our trucks, offer quiet counsel on early-morning walks, and wait patiently beside the highchair while the baby finishes eating. Dogs are an important part of our lives, and we celebrate them in this issue from beginning to end.
