My First Sweater Top Down Sweater Class - October 2024

This class is a great opportunity to learn the top down sweater technique. It is the perfect first sweater project for the new knitter and a fun project for knitters of all skill levels. The pattern is a quick knit that produces a cozy, comfortable sweater just in time for the Wyoming winter to roll in. In this class you will learn the top down sweater technique, how to divide for sleeves, how to pick up stitches, simple increases, and the broken rib stitch pattern. In the first class we will knit the collar and begin shaping the yoke. Finishing the yoke before the second class will be the homework. In class two, we will learn to separate the sleeves and begin knitting the body of the sweater. You will be expected to complete work on the body of the sweater before the third class.  In the third class we will learn to to work the sleeves, including how to pick up stitches along the underarm, you will finish the sleeves at home.
