Giant Slayer
Giant Slayer is based on the story of David VS Goliath in which the underdog David used faith, courage, and wisdom to befell the giant, Goliath. The famous Statue of David was created by Michelangelo Buonarotti between the years 1501 and 1504. It was carved from a single block of marble abandonded by other sculptors who thought it was flawed. Currently the statue is being displayed in Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence, Italy. David is historically from Bethlehem in the hill country of judah which primarily speaks hebrew. For that reason a rough translation of Giant Slayer in hebrew is located on the Statue Of David's left side. Michelangelo was born in Caprese, a small village in Tuscany, Italy. However, he grew up mainly in Florence, a place that greatly shaped his artistic career and became a focal point for the Italian Renaissance.
