Workshop: Rigid Heddle Weaving 101Saturday, November 16th, 10am-4pm, with an hour-long break for lunch.This day-long workshop will get you comfortable with rigid heddle weaving. Things we are covering:*The parts of a rigid heddle loom*Measuring warp*Actual warping (so much easier than it seems, especially with a partner)*Using waste yarn to ensure a smooth beginning*WEAVING!!!!*Tips and tricks to ensure more possibility of success*Pitfalls to avoid/ways to climb out*Finishing your woven pieceRegistration fee includes:*A 15” Schacht Cricket Rigid Heddle Loom with an 8-dent reed (optional; if you have a Schacht rigid heddle that’s at least 10” wide with an 8-dent reed, you can bring your own)*2 full skeins of Knitted Wit Worsted (there are 2 color options: Warm and Cool)*A 10% discount on anything you purchase day-of class (including ordering yarn or weaving supplies)*A fun day at the Studio, getting to know your loom!Registration fee is $430 including loom, $180 without loom.
