*Unpolished* 1984 Rolex Submariner (Ref. 5513) Mk. V "Maxi" Dial W/ Lavender "Ghost" Bezel Insert

The Rolex Submariner Reference 5513 is the embodiment of the classic dive watch. The 5513 is simple yet sophisticated and rugged. The ref. 5513 was first introduced in 1962 and ceased production in late 1989. The ref. 5513 is a purpose-built dive watch that lacks the date function like other Rolex Submariner models.  The dial on this 1984 Rolex Submariner ref. 5513 is commonly referred to as the Maxi Mk V dial, which is the very last dial variation Rolex produced for the ref. 5513 with a matte black finish. After the Maxi Mk V dial Rolex introduced the glossy dial with white gold surround markers to the reference. The Mk V dial is frequently seen in cases stamped in the 7-mil to 8-mil serial range.
