Wooden Fly Box - Tied Fly

Wooden Fly Box measures 1.5” high, 5” long by 3 5/8” including the hasp.  Inside has high density foam pad for attaching flies. (Fly not included) Built from one piece of wood with no glue lines and made to float in water.  Finished with 2 coast of tung oil and 3 coats of Spar Varnish. There will be slight variation in the wood coloring and pattern from box to box. But will have the same engraving.Made of Beetle Kill pine from the San Juan Mountains of Colorado.  By using standing dead this improves the health of the forest and uses a waste item to make a usable product. The Fly Boxes are handmade one at a time in my shop located in the San Luis Valley of Southern Colorado.  The San Luis Valley is where the Rio Grande and the Conejos Rivers provide some of the finest trout waters in the state and the headwaters to the Rio Grande Cutthroat.
