Nawa the Manananggal was found entombed with other datus. It is believed that she was cursed to be a manananggal for seeking immortality. Her coffin is able to be separated and re-attached by sliding the top and bottom pieces together. Display Nawa in a full coffin (while still keeping her famous split visible), or separate the coffin boxes to really show off her lore. One of the most famous aswang (monster) of the Philippines, the Manananggal is a flying, self-segmenting creature. At night, she separates from her bottom half to find her next meal consisting of fetuses, blood, or different human organs. The only way to kill her is by finding her lower half, usually hidden in the woods or in banana forests, and sprinkle salt, garlic, or ash on the exposed flesh to prevent her from reattaching. (Read more here!)
