El Cacao - Peru

About El Cacao Situated in the foothills of the great Andes Mountain range in far northwestern Peru, Fredesvinda Estela farms her coffee together with her husband (and I’m sure her two young children will soon be helping out themselves!). She’s a younger producer, who like many others, began with doubts as she ventured into coffee growing. Through thoughtful plot renovation and infrastructure upgrades, she has built  remarkable, consistent lots of a few different varieties, including this selection of 100% yellow caturra. El Cacao is decadent and lush with a bright acidity that balances out this beautiful brew. Currently, Fredesvinda is planning to expand into growing even more varieties and has aspirations of  competing at the highest levels with her coffee.
