About Laboyano Named after the region — Valley of Laboyos — and its people, this communal lot showcases the dedication of producers from all over the area surrounding the town of Pitalito in the southern part of the Huila region in Colombia. They contribute a collection of varieties from caturra and castillo to the remarkable pink bourbon that was discovered in this area.  Because this lot encompasses a wide variety of farmers’ lots, each harvest undergoes rigorous cupping (or professional tasting) sessions to make sure that it meets their high quality standards. With so many farmers and lots, consistency and QC processes are super important to maintain an excellent final product. (And you know we wouldn’t bring you anything less than excellence!) While it may seem ‘less traceable’ than a single lot from a single farm, all the lots and samples are meticulously sorted and stored.
