About Los Primos Manuel Vallecillo is a 3rd generation coffee farmer. In his 20s, he was gifted a parcel of land to grow coffee. For 8 years, Manuel worked tirelessly tending to his coffee trees, but found himself continually stuck with low production and not able to get the selling prices he needed to make his land profitable. So, he left for Houston, TX for better opportunities. As the years passed, Honduran coffee gained more acclaim and he saw his friends and family succeed in the coffee biz, so it pulled him back home each year. Then, 15 years ago, he purchased land to grow coffee and the rest is history.  He now splits his time between Houston and Honduras. Santa Barbara is an area of Honduras that has grown acclaim in recent years for its extraordinary coffees (and one of the reasons Manuel was able to return to coffee farming!), and Los Primos is no exception.
