Solutions are near neutral pH. This detergent also finds uses in the cleaning of soft metals after manufacture, and as part of routine cleaning operations. Typical Contaminants Removed Chem-Crest 165 removes light oils, light scales and oxides, and general contaminants from the surfaces of parts. Operating Conditions Chem-Crest 165 recommended dilution is 5–10% by volume and 10-15% by volume for heavy descaling at temperatures of 150°–180°F. Normal operating temperatures: 130°–160°F. Recommended rinsing water temperature: 100°–150°F.
