A bit of a curious one! On one edge of the page our subject is so intently writing upon is printed "Salvation Army"--perhaps the joke here being that the soul of our Y.L Abercrombie was in need of saving?!! In any event, I love his focused intensity (and bald head, and especially his hands), with glasses folded to one side in favor of hunching over the paper as he writes, ink bottle nearby. 6 7/8" x 4 1/8" and in good condition, with minor toning, which I think just adds to its aura.
