19th C. Primitive Double-Sided Gameboard with Checker-filled Drawer

This board I found in Maine and wouyd guess was made in New England, mid 19th c. or so I'd think, with square iron nails visible on the flip side, which shows a second game board. I know people get most excited about colorful painted game boards to hang one the wall, and I love them too, but perhaps there are some of you, like me, actually like to play games! This is a beautiful and useful one for that, with inlaid checkboard top, drawer filled with wooden checkers, and a flip side I believe made for Nine Men's Morris, an ancient game for two players using checkers as well, the rules for which are easily found. Photos don't capture how the homespun warmth and presence of this board, lovingly made and one feels once an important object in the life of a home and family. Perfect for keeping on the  table or sideboard at the ready, and certainly could also be used for playing chess.  Board itself measures 12 1/2" x 10 3/4". Overall dimensions 12 1/2" x 11 1/4" x 2 7/8". Good condition, stu
