You know I love penmanship practice notebooks of many sorts, and I don't ever break them up--but this single page I found alone, and is a perfect found object as far as I am concerned: what could be more poignant than the pairing of "Immortality" and "Immateriality" written many times over? A pure (and rather existential feeling) found poem, which one might interpret/resolve in any number of ways depending on one's disposition. And with Horticulture...Horatius on reverse, which seems additionally right--cultivating plants and lyric poetry! 7 3/8" x 6", good condition, black ink completely readable, early-mid 19th century.
