Old Jointed Folk Art Dancing Monkey

A curious old jointed monkey, with graphite drawn face and details, and a hole for a dowel at the center of its back, via which it would--and could-- be held aloft and set to dancing. Happily, it is limber at its joints, so easy to position sitting upright, or leaning back on its elbows, or doing a split! Nice age to it, earlyish 20th century I believe, all original with a nice dry wood patina. 10 1/2" t x 4 1/2" widest and in good condition.
