Lovingly Crafted Antique Needlebook with Homespun Checked Fabric Cover
This little needle book make have seen better days, but it's so sweet, and invested with such lovely details, I think well worth preserving. I really love the use of black line on the homespun red and white and black checked fabric that covers it, and then lovely pale yellow embroidery along the edges of the two-lay inside end pages with fancy knots binding them together. The three pages for needles are wool, the largest--center--of them red with pretty black pattern, plus blue cloth/ ribbon down the center covering the interior binding. I find the labor put little things like this pretty amazing, and definitely happiness inducing. 2 3/8" t x 2 3/8" w x 3/8" thick. Wear and loss as pictured, including along the edges of the exterior, and especially on the back side, and around the edges of the wool interior pages, but still holding together well, and still charming!
