Retro-Futuro Homemade Green and Silver Painted Wooden Toy Car

I'm a sucker for a scratch-made toy car, and love the streamlined aspirations of this silver and green painted one, which I have to imagine an adolescent boy imagined speeding along at 100 miles an hour, though those hand-carved wooden wheels don't roll especially smoothly! Found near Lake George in Upstate NY, c. 1940-50s or so I would guess. 8 1/2” x 3 3/4” w x 1 1/4” t and in well loved condition, sturdy and sound. Probably there was once a steering wheel attached to the post in front of the seat.
