Terrific Old Handmade Red White and Blue Knit Sock Doll

Love at first sight with this guy, made by someone a hundred years ago or so with a great aesthetic sensibility I think!  Perfect choice of buttons for his wide eyes, and great red yarn nose and mouth, with interesting braid-like stitching for the mouth. Plus this terrific incorporation of blue and red knit to make a sort of vest, and pompoms for flourish everywhere! Hard not to feel more cheerful with this guy around. 15" long x 5 3/4" across x 2 3/4" thick. A little staining here and there but overall great condition with all of his seams holding tight.
