The Role of Effective Leadership Styles on Employee Performance
The main objective of this study was to examine the role of effective leadership styles on employee performance; using Anyinam Lodge (Obuasi) as case study. Other objectives were; To identify the specific leadership styles exhibited by managers in the organization. To examine how these leadership styles affect the performance of the employees. To identify the relationship between leadership styles and employee performance. The study adopted the survey approach of collecting data, because the study was based on the use of questionnaire to elicit information based on people’s opinion to generate data for the analysis of the research topic. The population of the study consisted of all employees of the lodge. The total number of employees at the lodge was 57 persons. Out of the 57 persons, 50 employees of the company were sampled for the study. The researcher used the Judgmental or Purposive sampling technique to sample the 50 respondents for the study.
